Geodesy and Geo-Information

GeoCon Offers its services in the Geodesic and Geo-informatics area shown:

 Geodesy
GeoCon offers training and technical assistance in cadastre, topographic and engineering measurements, with advanced equipment such as GPS and Total Stations (Taquimeters). With this modern equipment you can make 3D measurements and high precision can be achieved. Technical assistance is also offered in the creation of geodesic networks (reference points).

Global Positioning System (GPS)

The Global Positioning System (GPS) is used for navigation and a great variety of geodesic applications. The signals from the GPS satellites are received through a special receiver. The receiver calculates the distance to the different satellites. The coordinates of the satellite positions are known and with this information the receiver can calculate your position. The precision of the points will depend on the GPS equipment used and the selected measurement method. GeoCon offers training and technical assistance in the use of GPS equipment.

 Land Surveying using Total Stations
Using a total station to create maps you can simultaneously determine the horizontal projections of an area as well as the height of its different points. A total station is a modern theodolite with several technological advances. A theodolite is an instrument that is used for measuring directions (angles), horizontally as well as vertically with very high precision. GeoCon offers training and technical assistance in the use of total stations.

Geo-Information
GeoCon offers its services and technical assistance in the area of Geo-information, this is a specialization that allows the creation of maps using digital cartography in 2 or 3 dimensions, always taking into account the best and most useful way to present the information, this is done to make the analysis of the information easier. Examples: General maps, Thematic maps, etc.

Digital Cartography
Digital Cartography is one of the most modern methods to draw and update maps. Maps which are traditionally drawn on paper are difficult to update because of their frequent use they deteriorate losing their precision and legibility. When the maps are digitized, by means of a CAD program (Computer Aided Design) like AutoCAD or Microstation, copies can be easily generated in digital format or in paper by means of a plotter or printer. The precision of a digital map is much better because it wont be modified by the environment and any future changes to the map are much easier to introduce and control with the computer. The digital map can be obtained by means of a digitizing tablet, Total Stations, GPS, Satellite Images or Aerial Photography. The digital geographic information is used for the creation of Map print layouts, Geographic Information Systems, Cadastre Systems or any other job or system related with geographical information.
